Children's Dental Health Month

During the Month of February, Dr. Novak and His Staff Focus on Dental Health

Each February, Dr. Novak and his staff volunteer their time talking to local kids during National Children's Dental Health Month.

Dr. Tom Novak uses a tiny camera to make the first grader's smiles at Mary Martin appear larger than life on a TV screen.

"Kids need to know what to expect when they go to the dentist," Novak said. "I really enjoy this and they have a blast."

Staff members set up stations to show the kids proper brushing and flossing techniques, how sealants work, good and bad snacks, and x-rays. The kids collect some dental goodies at each of the stations.
